Mike, I'm trying to burn my windows update file to cd so that if I crash, I won't have to redownload them for 2 hours. Apparently though, the files are in use and it won't let me burn them. I tried going to msdos, but I don't know the commands to use to get the files or the burner. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi Gary
Try copying and pasting the folder to your Desktop and then burn them. I just copied and pasted mine and it worked, did not try to burn it though.

Thanks Mike, I tried copy & paste/drag & drop, but it still wouldn't let me burn. Finally , after I drag & dropped them to a new folder on the desktop, I extracted them to the same folder & was able to send them to my CD-RW disk. I won't know if they will work until I try it on another computer that has a cd burner. Whenever I can, I'll post back & let you know what happens. Thanks

Hey Mike, it works. I crashed this thing yesterday & I had to format. I had the setup files already burnt to disk, & I run the setup from it. Just thought I'd let you know.
PS. I couldn't use the files that were on the CD-RW disk even though I installed all the drivers for the CD burner, For whatever reason, I don't know. It just wouldn't let me install it from the rewritable disk.

You can also go here http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp?corporate=true and download individual Update files. It is called the Corporate Windows Update site, you choose what Windows Updates you wont, download them and save them to a drive or burn them to a CD.
