Hi, I am desperate to get this email back and need to know where to find it on the hard drive if at all possible. First, it's AOL, same account, & screen name, upgraded from 6.0---to--7.0...Big problem...had to do a quick restore and the old email did not save for some reason. I was told it is on my hard drive but not a clue how to get it. Was also told I would have get it from AOl....Can someone please tell me and help this girl out? I am up a creek if I can't get it all back. Is it gone forever?
Thanks,
Amy

Hi Amy
I would contact AOL and ask if they could send you that email, all companies backup thier servers once or twice a day and keep the backups for months if not forever, they have a copy of that email, you just need to ask the right person to retrieve it for you.
If you downloaded it to your computer it may or may not be on your harddrive. You would have to stop using the computer and take it to a recovery shop and see if they can retrieve it for you. But like I said AOL has a backup copy of it.

Hi Mike,
Thanks...but I got nowhere with AOL. They said they don't keep old emails and the quick restore deleted them from the harddrive...So I am back to start again...what now?
Thanks,
Amy

If you really have to recover it, you could get these products, you would probably need the Pro version, because you formated and reinstalled.

I tried the demo of the regular one and it found deleted files, but I had not formated the drive, it will not recover files on a formatted drive the pro version will, try the demo and see if it finds the email first.

Here is a link to a Data Recovery Service http://www.datarecoveryclinic.com/index2.html if you really have to get the data off a harddrive these people are the ones to do it.
