Mike, I use the Fresh device download manager for downloading large files...My question is,... On some sites the transfer rate starts out at something like 6.8KB/sec. Then it continually drops to 0.51 KB/sec in a matter of about 1 min. from there it times out & starts over again. On this one particular file, it is 104mb's I had to set the retry to 400 times. At this rate it takes about an Hour to download 10 mbs. What I'm wondering is,...Could this site be so busy that the bandwidth is that low? I'm using a V.92 dialup modem. Also I've tried downloading from this site at all different times & it's the same, no matter when I try it.

I get that on my cable modem to, I'll start out at 94KB/sec and end up at 9 to 15, I try to find other sites that have the file and try them until I find a faster server. The download manager should look for other sites to download from or you can add different sites for it to download from. In short it is probably the server not you. ( :

Thanks Mike, I was beginning to think it was my ISP's fault.
