PC1 died.
Bought PC2.
Discovered PC1 had virus (worm) and got it fixed. All better now.

PC1 has 8+ gb of MP3s that I'd like to transfer to PC2. I tried copy to CD-RW and paste but only let me reformat CD once. Also can only transfer 700mb per CD at a time that way. Can I use some sort of software and a parallel cable to transfer stuff overnight?

I don't want to reinstall the PC1 HD (30Gb) in my PC2 (80Gb). I'd just as soon keep everything entact.

Here's a link you can try. copy & paste it in your search browser. You'll need a paralel cable designed for this program. A printer cable will not work.

Gary Good Idea : )
Another way would be to set up a Home Network using a Hub or a Links Router, checkout my Networking page for info. You would have to turn on file sharing to transfere files back and forth, which leaves your systems open to Hacking.
I use a cdr and burn what I need to the cdr and then copy it to a folder in the new drive, that way I have a backup cd of the files.
