I am using IBM computer and windows 98.

Every time i try to open internet explorer or any other programs such as control panel, two error messages came up. One said: this program had perform an illegal operation. After that i click close and the second message came up, it said: An error has occurred in Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer will now close.

I tried reinstalling internet explorer but the problem still continues.

Use ctrl-alt-delete and End Task on everything but systray and explorer there is a program running in the background that is probably causing these errors.
