All at once I am having this problem...
When I boot up my computer the monitor starts blinking...it will go ahead and go to my desktop...still blinking and the color looks like it is open in safe mode...I can click on my desktop and get to my display properties by working through each blink...my color is set on 16-bit...that is all that is there to choose from...my other setting are gone...I have a Gateway EV700 monitor...Can U help me fix this problem...
Thanks

When the Computer is turned off, check to make sure all the Cables are attached firmly to the back of the computer, Monitor and power supplies are plugged in all the way.

The next thing would be the Drivers for your Video card, you will have to go to the Device Manager (or look in your Computer Manual) and click open the Display Adapter and see what is listed, either reinstall them from your restore disk or the cd or floppy, that came with the card or go to the manufactures web site and download and install the latest drivers for that video card. I would also upgrade to the latest DirectX on Windows Update.
