Hi Kaffienne
If you go to my Reference page and go to Rays Packardbell site, he has drivers for all the older Packardbells

mike,i checked andy mcfadden's site for help with cdrom and cdrw, but didnt see anything that related.my computer has 2 bays for cdrom, the top bay is being used, bottom not,i took my old rom out and installed (philips)burner,i thought about the possibility of putting my cdrom in bottom bay to make it easier to copy c/d's,im not sure how to hook it up and how to set the jumpers, currently the burner is set on master, thx jp

You just need an IDE cable with 3 connectors, one that goes to the Mobo and the other end would go to the cdrom set to Master and the middle one connects to the cdrom that would be jumpered to Slave.

mike, does it matter either/or,which one i choose to be set as master and the other set to slave,my cd rom i believe is faster at read speed, than the burner, would you recommend the cdrom being set at master......or vise versa, thx for the helpmike.
what about additional power supply (dc input)and audio out,i believe i seen an extra powersupply when i was digging in this thing last week,if not what do you recommend.jp

Try it with the cdrom as Master, then see if the burner works fast enough, should work fine that way. You should have an extra power supply in there some where, if not pull one out of an old computer or you can get them at a computer shop. I would connect the sound card wire to the cdrom, thats the one you will use for music and games, I would assume. I should do this too !!! ( :
