I've been trying to get rid of this for a while now. The Windows Password box comes on everytime at bootup. I've run MSConfig and gone into the System.ini file. I've unchecked the Password box, but i still get [Logoff John] in the Start button. I've tried to delete john's name in this area to no avail. I've gone into Explorer and found the .psw file, deleting it from there, but it still comes up. Is there some way i can go into DOS and delete the line from there or is there some other easier way to get rid of this irritation? I've got screenshots of where i've been if you want.

Hi John
go to the Control Panel-Network and in the Primary Windows Logon drope box choose Windows Logon, it will probably ask for the Windows disk and then you will have to reboot.

Ok...that didn't work. It didn't ask for the disk and didn't delete the password logon screen. Does it matter that i'm running Win98 SE? Can this be done from DOS?
It's not really critical, just annoying.
