Hi Mike,
I went to PC Mag to get Startup Cop and it did not say it could be used with Windows ME so I didn't download it, I wanted to check with you first. Sorry to be such a bother.
I have followed all of your instructions so far and I am back up and running with 94% resources. I do have one other question. When I go on AOL my resources fall to 76% and surfing goes fine. I sign off and do some letter writing, memos and spreadsheet work. If I sign back on AOL by resources fall down in the low sixties. I am now rebooting before I sign back on AOL and everything is OK. My question is, should your resources come back to 94% when you sign off of AOL?
Thanks for all the help.
Maggie

You should be able to use startup cop with me. The resourses are used up by AOL and Ads, etc, they are suppose to remove themselves from the Ram or memory when you close them, some do not, the only way to clear them out of memory is to Reboot, you may want to install some more memory, really cheap right now and easy to install ( : , how much ram do you have in your system.

I have 255MB memory. I have no problem with any of my computer programs one which is Adobe Photoshop and I use a lot of graphics. I am only having a problem when I am on AOL and when I get off of AOL. Rebooting solves the problem of resources after leaving AOL. I get a lot of tutorials off the web and download a lot of graphics so I am on quite often and the rebooting gets tiresome but I guess I should be happy everything is working as well as it is. Thank you for all the help you have given and your web site is terrific it has helped me in many ways.
Maggie
P.S. I will head to PC Mag and get Startup Cop.
