Hi Mike, I see this has been a regular question on your site since you helped me in February. I found that there is no need to rename it ratings.old or save it to My Documents (for safety) as often suggested. I just delete ratings.pol from the Windows folder and it is automatically restored as a clean file on re-booting. I have also found the solution to many Hard drive problems. Use 2 Hard drives on removable caddies and get a CDRW installed. Then don't forget to constantly save everything to a CDRW disk. If one drive causes problems, you can easily reformat it then drag & drop the files back without having lost any data or time. Dave UK
