Recently my computer has slowed down a lot. When I'm working at it for a couple of hours it gets slower and slower until it crashes. If I push CTRL-ALT-DEL I can see it's running 20 versions of Wscript at the same time. Ending them all doesn't quite solve the problem because either it makes the computer crash or otherwise it will start over again anyway.
I tried to delete the entire Wscript application (hoping it's not vital to anything because I don't know what it is), but it won't do that because "Windows is running Wscript right now" - I get that error message even if I just started the computer and CTRL-ALT-DEL says I have no Wscript running.
I cannot use Defrag because Defrag starts off with an error check, and that error check lasts forever: it has to start again endless times because another application is writing to my hard disk (so an error message tells me), I guess this is again that ghostly Wscript... please does anyone know how to get rid of it?
thanks,
erik
PS sorry if I don't get all the windows terms right but I'm running a Dutch version so I don't always know the English names...
