I have had problems using logitech, but, does the mouse come with a USB plug and an adapter that converts it from USB to PS/2 ? Try plugging it into the USB port (if it is USB) after the computer and windows is running, USB is the only thing you can plug and unplug while the computer is running. If it is PS/2, go to the ADD/Remove and remove any Mouse software, then go to the Device Manager and Remove the Mouse, then Shut Down the computer, plug in the new mouse and restart, Windows should find it. With Logitech and others you have to remove all other mice and software in order for it to install properly. Let me know if this helped !!! Mike
