Make sure in the Bios or Setup that C: is the Primary IDE Drive and that it see's the drive. If it does not see the Harddrive, check to make sure the IDE cable is securely attached to the Mobo and the Harddrive also make sure the Power Cable is secure to the Harddrive. You will have to use a Windows Startup Disk to get to fdisk, check to make sure C: is the Active Harddrive or Partition. You may have to copy the System files to the Harddrive, they may have gotten corrupted. sys c: I'm pretty sure that is the command.
