Doesn't sound good!
1. Go into your Bios or setup and make sure it is booting to the IDE0 drive first, also make sure it is listing the two drives.
2. Use your startup disk and at the A: prompt type Fdisk and see if Fdisk lists the drives.
3. At the A: prompt type in C: hit enter, then type, scandisk run scandisk for errors, after scandisk finishes and you are still at the C:\> prompt, type win or win98 see if Windows will start.
4. At the A: prompt, if you type sys a:\ c: this will copy the System files from the floppy ( Startup Disk ) to the C drive, these files may have been damaged and you need them to start Windows.
5. If you have rescue disks that came with your AntiVirus Program, check your Manual on how to run the Virus progam with the floppies.
6. When the computer begins to boot and just before it goes to the next screen press the F8 ( mine are F8 maybe F1 on yours ) key and try to get into Safe Mode. If you get into Safe Mode the problem is a hardware driver.
Those are the things I would try first, keep me updated. Mike
